Making the Case--Re-envisioned High School Math Pathways
Purpose
The New Mexico Public Education Department convened more than 30 mathematics professionals from K-12, postsecondary, workforce, and other sectors to develop modern and innovative mathematics pathways aligned with students' goals and aspirations. The report makes the case for re-envisioned pathways that expand access and engage students in rigorous and relevant mathematics instruction, with all pathways designed to keep doors open for students rather than act as gatekeepers.
